# [2019.06.04] Stop Doing Anything Tangible

Well, it seems that my boss doesn't want me to do anything useful for
the company. He wants some neural collaborative filtering and other
fancy sounding words. For me, that means that I legally can teach
myself deep learning during my working hours. I've demonstrated my
ability to not only create a prototype but also to lead to
production. My first recommender system here works, serving millions
of clients and raising their engagement quite reasonably. Now it's
time to show that I can create something shiny but potentially
useless. Why not.
