HP TouchPad =========== Yesterday I have found the long-forgotten HP TouchPad tablet [1]. I got it when it was already out of market and used it for some time. In 2015 (I think) I have re-flashed it with the Android as their were same problems with the already dead webOS. Ans some time after that it stopped to work. So I put it somewhere and then forgot about its existence. I have been surprised that after some hours of charging it booted and started to run! Even with the Android (the CyanogenMod) it is a quite nice device. If I remember correctly, it was a direct competitor of the original iPad [2] - it is very similar in size a features but it is a bit heavier and with more plastics on its body. The screen is 768x1024 (so it's comparable with the iPad) and it has a WiFi, a Bluetooth, a front-facing camera and very nice speakers. So it's not bad at all (for a tablet). I wished to re-flash the webOS (it should be possible [3]) as some applications are still available [4] or even developed for it. But me wife wants to use the tablet with some Android-only apps (well, she wants to read some journals and to see recipes on the device and to probably play some strategy games). So no more webOS playing... It actually makes sense as I have little use for a tablet (except messing around in the webOS...) as I have a lot of devices which are more suitable for my needs.
