SDF Image Gallery

I decided to  stop to use the  Flickr [1]. I started to  plan this many
years ago when they made th  Flickr unreadable on older computers. When
this  year they  changed their  owner  and started  to announce  policy
changes (with a  short term for deleting accounts) I  decided to change
my Pro  account to a normal  one. Now they announced  limits for normal
accounts. So  I decided  to leave my  account as is.  I'm not  going to
delete it but I have no plans to add new pictures here.

Actually, they  are somewhat funny. I  can add pictures to  Flickr (via
their old Uploadr which still works  for some reasons) but I'm not able
to see what I uploaded. I sometimes  need to point people to some of my
pictures  and it  is  hard to  do  if I  have no  access  to my  Flickr
profile...

Thus I  started thinking about some  alternative. I don't need  to have
many pictures online but I need to be able to see them from my O2. So I
tried the  "SDF User  Image Gallery"  [2]. It is  not the  most popular
corner of the WWW  but it is not a problem for me.  There are also some
minor  issues  (the software  is  somewhat  conservative) -  namely  it
requires  the  Adobe Flash  interpreter  for  upload of  pictures.  But
individual pictures  can be easily  uploaded via simple  HTML interface
which is enough for me. Sans  the Flash part everything works perfectly
in my Firefox on the IRIX (and even in the Links 2)!

So now I have photos gallery here  [3]. There are just a few images but
I plan to add more in the future. I also replaced the Flickr link on my
home page [4] with the link to this new gallery.
