No luck with Palm Pilots

It seems that my second PalmPilot  has issues with the graffiti area. I
am not able to write "v" and "j" letters (and possibly some others). It
seems that  I will have to  put all my  Palm Pilots to the  storage and
replace them by the Palm IIIxe.

My sole  Pilot 5000 works  perfectly. But  for obvious reasons  I don't
want to use it on daily basis.
