Re:Jynx, Palm OS questions

Jinx [1] wrote detailed answer to  my questions related to the Palm III
and also included other interesting  informations. So I will search for
the cable compatible with original Tungstens or Palm m130.

It other hand, I'm  still not sure if the IIIc is  a good solution form
me. I  will probably  postpone resolution  this problem  as now  I have
enough toys (I'm still playing with the Tungsten W).

This  evening  I  tried to  install  some  software  to  the W.  It  is
interesting that  some of  things which are  compatible with  m68k CPUs
don't work  here. I also  failed to configure  Java and Opera  here and
didn't find  any compatible SSH client.  But I have the  FTP client and
possible some telnet. IT should be enough for now (I still have to find
and  insert the  SIM card  into the  device). I also  have a  dictionary
application (but have to install at least one dictionary...).

I probably will be able to write with the Proporta case installed. It's
not comfortable but  it is possible with some effort  (today I took bus
so I had time to train writing on the Tungsten W). At the moment I have
feel better if the W sits in this solid neoprene/aluminium shell...

And -  if I have not  noticed it previously -  synchronisation with the
Mac OS 10.5 works well.
