Second phone

I have been trying to find a phone which can be used (and possibly even
damaged or lost) during current  emergency situation. Obviously I don't
want to use my Punk MP01 outdoors these days.

I have had these options:

* the iPhone 3G - battery is dead
* the bq Aquaris E4.5 - battery is too weak
* the Nokia N900 (survives just a day and I don't want to lose it)
* the Palm Tungsten W (don't want to lose it)
* the Palm Pixi Plus (1) - one has faulty SIM slot
* the Palm Pixi Plus (2) - cannot activate it for some reason
* the OpenMoko GTA-02 - cannot survive more than 1 day on battery
* the OpenMoko GTA-04 - cannot survive more than 1 day on battery
* the Nokia E52 - seems to work as a phone!

So now I'm trying to use the old E52. E-mail no longer work (the client
is too  old), the Maps  are horribly outdated but  it is no  problem. I
need a phone for SMSs and calls.  And it worked for 2-3 weeks on single
charge when if  was new. So even  1/3 of this will  be excellent. There
should be some issues  (I think that I had a reason to  stop use of it)
but I will  see. If it will not  work then I will try to  GTA-02 or the
Aquaris with a battery pack.

And I ordered a  "new, unopened, EU model" Palm Centro.  I hope it will
work...


P.S. Does anyone know why the Nokia E52 (an almost dumb phone with tiny
screen and with some lighter version  of Symbian OS) has BIGGER battery
than the Nokia N900 with which run almost desktop Linux OS?
