CD is not DVD

I made another vain attempt to re-install my Sun Ultra 20. As you might
know it does not support booting from USB. But it has the DVD drive.

So I  inserted DVD into  the drive, selected  "boot from CD"  option in
BIOS and..

...nothing happened. It cannot boot from DVD. It can read it, access it
from the OS, but it cannot boot from it.

I should find a modern OS which fits on the CD.
