Cables, cables

Note: this is a post which I wrote some time ago on my (off-line) Z88.

Today I have got  an extension cable for USB3. A  short (0.5m) but very
useful one. My Raptor BlackBird  workstation has limited number of USB3
ports available so  I have to connect  some of fast USB  devices to the
port which  is on the  back of  the machine. To  make it easier  I have
been  using  an  extension  cable.  But until  today  I  had  only  the
USB2-compatible  cables. So  it made  no sense  to connect  faster USB3
devices through this cable.  But it was the only way  to easily use the
port. Now I have a better cable so I'm going to test if copying will be
actually faster, or not.
