Ubuntu Touch News ================= Just a short note now: the containers in the Ubuntu Touch [1] finally work! Not only it is possible to install some X11 apps and use them (still with some limitations and glitches) but it is also possible to run normal command-line stuff in the default terminal (so no problems with virtual keyboard for X11 apps, no strange UI crashes, just the old good terminal). So I finally can browse gopher from my tablet! The magic command is: libertine-launch -i xenial /bin/bash Of course, only if your container is called "Xenial" and you have created it before... But it's not hard [2]. The CLI approach works buch better than the GUI, by the way. References: [1] https://ubports.com [2] https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/dailyuse/libertine.html
