First use of 5.25"

When did you  used the 5.25" floppy  media for the first  time. I dont'
mean when you saw one but when  you actually used them to store or move
data?


I have did  this in the 2020.  I'm not kidding. We of  course had 5.25"
drives in school  (back in early 1990s)  but I never had  a 5.25" media
and thus did  not used them. Our  first home PC (in 1993)  hat the 3.5"
floppy only.  The SGI machines (which  I'm using on regular  basis from
2002) never  had 5.25" (if  there was such drive  then it was  the 3.5"
one).

So I  only have started to  use the 5.25"  things in last year  after I
have got the Apple IIe. That's funny, I think.

Maybe, at some point I will start to use paper tapes, too...
