Train ===== After reading of Logout's blog about travelling in the first class o the Ceske drahy trains I have decided to use the first class for my travel, too. I'm now in the train from Ostrava to Brno. Obviously, it's more expensive and the most visible difference is a red color of seats. But just after start there have apperared the stewardess with a minibar. She offered tea, coffee and some cheap snacks for a very fair prices. Well, it wasn't bad. In other hand, it's a normal R-class train so there is no WiFi but also no power outlet for a notebook (I expected this, so I have taken additional battery for my X61s notebook). I don't know how is the situations with modern notebook/laptops but I still thing that only the IBM was able to desing laptops which were meant to use on laps. In this train there is no table and writing on the X61s (which is technically a Lenovo but it still respects the older IBM's design) is comfortable. In the past I tried to use in such way oher devices from different manufacturers (the Apple iBook G3, several Dell devices and others) and nothing has as comfortable as the IBM devices. The best was the old A21p laptop, but also the smaller ones are good... Now I have the Lenovo X260 at the work. I tried to use it in the same manner but it is't so good: the screen is too low and the proportions of the device are quite impractical for such use. And its modern keyboards is simply much worse than the old ones.
