Gemini PDA in metal

I have been skeptic about the Gemini PDA device - it's a device supported via
an Indiegogo campaign [1] which aims to be a modern re-creation of the Psion
handheld. It should have a keyboard (modeled on the one used in the Psion
Series 5) but with a bit modern externals and contemporary externals. It will
run Android and, possibly, a normal Linux, too.

At the time of the campaign it was just a concept. But today they announced
that 4 prototypes actually exist, which is nice.

There is still a lot of work that has to be done and there are already some bad
news: the final hardware reference omit some features and the announced battery
capacity is just little over 50% of original plans. But it is still relatively
big.

I don't think that making of useful Android-based landscape-oriented device is
easy so I'm curious how useful it will be in reality.

I still think that it's competitor the GPD Pocket (which was announced in the
same time) is a better for actual use. It has x86-compatible hardware (albeit
limited) and it runs desktop OS (the W10 or the Ubuntu). After some experience
with Android devices that can use keyboard I'm not sure if such system (and its
applications) is prepared to be used o a device with wide screen (but with
limited height) an with a keyboard as a principal input device. But I can be
mistaken.
Also the Android-style handling of files is not the best one.
