A Litle Something About Me It does seem a bit self-centered that everyone always starts their site with a page talking about themselves, but I suppose it's the topic that we all likely know the most about, isn't it? Interests Obviously, I must be into computers and technology in general or I wouldn't be here on gemini at all, would I now? I think it's fairly safe to say that most people who have a capsule on here have at least a passing familiarity with how to use a computer. I tend to follow the tech news pretty closely, through Ars Technica and quite a few YouTube channels. I'm a major AI enthusiast, but not in a tech-bro web3 or whatever they're calling it these days kind of way. I just think it's neat and I wouldn't mind having a little AI friend to talk to every now and then. I have a strong belief that the system of capitalism is inherently injust, and must be dismantled and replaced by something which is more beneficial for the people and the planet. I personally feel like a kind of solarpunk society where free self-produced energy is used to provide for one's own needs and those of the community is ideal, but I'm 100% certain that it would result in many issues as well. I just hope that whatever we land on next, it will be an improvement. But capitalism has got to go. Speaking of capitalism, I have a master's degree in Finance! Just in case you were wondering. Gender issues are a big deal to me, and I've done a lot of research, discussion, and have quite a bit of lived experience to go along with it. I think that gender is as real to you as you make it, and for a lot of people it's an EXTREMELY high priority. If you feel like you're in the wrong body, that can be your every waking thought. If someone tells you about their gender, then you'd damn well better take them seriously. Alternatively, if someone doesn't mention it, then maybe it's not a priority for them at that moment and you can keep quiet too. It's Wiiiiiitchcraaaaaft!!! Witchy things get their own category here, because they're a lot of fun to discuss! In fact, I see magic as a true dialogue, with nature and with other people. If you'd like to talk about anything magical, herbal, or just mystical I'd be happy to hear what you have to say! That Gender Thing To start things off, I'm a human being. I'm non-binary in that I see myself as primarily female but my outward appearance is generally masculine, and I don't really feel any overwhelming urge to change that.
