   saying for so long: we depend FAR too much on html/javascript
   combo for everything. It's annoying that only a few standards
   are pretty well universal among browsers. I can't play MP3 (or
   is it WAV?) on my Firefox, so I go to Chrome. Ridiculous. Make
   all door locks the same size and the same sized screwdriver can
   be jammed into them all to open them. I never liked that html
   took over the browser world. - I wanted Gopher to win the war
   but it lost terribly... "
