It's one of the reasons why I don't worry terribly about any doom + gloom scenarios: i'm going to die * other humans are going to die. Perhaps I will live on, embodied within the complex patterns at the center of a large star, or embodied in a computer * or embodied within the people who have been influenced by my writings through the years or my presence. (Sort of "extended mind" or "spread mind" I think it's called) But I believe that humans are fundamentally contrary to their surroundings, and never satisfied. Maybe that's just me. And if even if a few humans are dissatisfied with their current state of affairs, even if there are only a few left over in some doomsday scenario, They will find a way to thrive.
