The finger that points to the moon, isn't the moon. The hammer
   is the tool that builds the house, but the hammer is not the
   house. Facts are not reality, they help construct reality or
   point out ("reveal") reality but they're not reality itself.

   Sometimes people get the two mixed up. Some are very popular,
   like, "The Universe is Math" - a case of mistaking the tool for
   the reality and the reality for the tool.

   Although, adding on to it, I think the tools can be part of the
   reality in total; rather than "the map is not the territory", I
   think the map is included in the territory, and the territory
   included in the map, because of us - those who are using the
   maps and also exploring the territory. We bring them together.
   Sometimes we forget that we're involved in this whole process.
