You've also given me my working definition for reason now - that
   is, a definition of reason that works better for how I think of
   things. I've always known of the certainty part of reason, but
   never considered the conflicting. In the context of "reasoning
   through" something, yes. But reason often stands as almost a
   divine level in discourse: Reason! as if that is all there is to
   be said about something. No longer though. Conflicting Form of
   Certainty it is. My mental imagery has Mr. Spock staring down at
   the black and white squares of a chessboard, trying to decipher
   the true nature of the line between while simultaneously
   considering the nature of blackness and whiteness and his own
   role in it all.
