Yeah. I must have an inferring problem. It seems to be called "back inferring". It's a form of prediction but instead of predicting forward, you predict backwards, to 'intention'. I snipped this from a very basic worksheet used for young elementary school kids. I look at these words and I want to continue them forward and make a story out of them. They're great beginnings and I could write a story about each of them. But - what's being inferred? Well I suppose Mary is taking lessons for the flute so she's practicing. I have no idea why the boat drifted into the middle of the lake, but I could write a story that explains it. I don't know why John ran into the street without looking; what's that inferring? I haven't the slightest idea. I can come up with 100 reasons why. I suppose there's supposed to be one correct answer for each. But I come up with too many ideas. Oh well. Don't know what it means, if anything. I'm probably somewhere on the autistic spectrum I guess, who knows. It's hard when you have an issue that's not "dramatic" but rather it's subtle; all the literature about stuff is about DRAMATIC cases and extremes. But when you're able to manage or cope and you want to track something subtle down, it's hard. it's in the "shut up and deal with it" category I suppose, but still, it'd be nice to know for sure. No link between right eye legal-blindness + inferring ability just yet. But I'll find out; I suspect there's some link.[1]inferring References Visible links 1. http://icopiedyou.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/inferring.png
