I believe "cold hard facts" are a myth. I also believe numbers are fundamentally "not quite" because no two objects really ARE the same. Two flips on a computer are operating within a different timing in the state machine. Two 1's are on different parts of a piece of paper, etc. But functionally? Close enough to get stuff done. My belief? Doesn't matter. It's just for fun. Most of theoretical physics falls under that category as well tongue emoticon I stil like it.
