gumball amazes me. I mostly get it second hand, through my nephew when he would tell me the entire story from start to finish (yes, a 17 minute story with actions and voices) and not a single word dropped and so, I got to see it through his eyes most of the time. I did see a few clips and an episode or two as well and I'm suitably impressed. They're unflinching about social issues.* That's well put - they don't treat kids as stupid.* Being a kid is hard and sucks just as much as being an adult is hard and sucks... and it's good to get recognition of that. There's also the good stuff on both sides of the imaginary fence but it's a nice acknowledgement that "yes, we're all in the same boat here" and need our help navigating to shoreline somehow.
