I automatically agree with as close to 100% of what anything George Carlin says. I was raised with him as my voice of conscience, combined with a "be nice to everybody" from the Methodist church and, oddly enough between the two of those, I think I found a good mix. I resisted the extreme irritation GC had towards religion in general and corporations and such, while maintaining the same type of skepticism towards bullshit from wherever it comes from. I'm agnostic now and really always was, but I like the ethos of "be nice" ('cause GC turned into a crabby old man who was right but angry) while also keeping skeptical eyes open towards lines of bullshit. Of course that especially includes myself; bias is hard to overcome and likely impossible. But it's worth the effort. Thanks for the Carlin link; love that man.* Kids today have Chris Rock, who serves the same function as a voice of "it's all bullshit" for the current generation of kids.
