A confusing part of the Fat man/train thought experiment:

   We have to answer the question SUBJECTIVELY yet we feel AS IF we
   must answer OBJECTIVELY, for ALL MANKIND, for ALL TIME.
   And..
   It can't be done. Not for all humanity.
   We can only answer it for ourselves, and those who might agree
   with us, which could easily be nobody else or it could be many
   people, but not everybody.
