Metaphors. Powerful yet limiting. Example: Tomorrow is the first
   day of Fall/Autumn. If the human lifespan was analogized to
   "seasons", then: a) childhood :: spring b) young adulthood ::
   summer c) middle adulthood :: fall d) older adulthood :: winter
   So, if I used that metaphor for
   lifespan,[1]kennethudut-1990-2015(1) my existing pic would then
   represent summer and fall.. A childhood picture would be spring.
   aged picture of me would be winter. But I don't think of life as
   seasons like that. Some people do. I find it a limiting
   metaphor.
