It's hard not to see some Edgar Cayce mixed with Jung and 19th/early 20th century Theosophy along with some Joseph Campbell oversimplification in that though. As far as the symbolism in the Gospels, it depends who is interpreting and WHEN they interpreted to me, is key as well. Bias always has to be checked and taken into account, no matter how plausible a story may seem. No story stands alone and the bias of the interpreter and the movements that influenced him/her has to be noted no matter how logical it may sound.
