I wasn't crazy about the American imperialism stuff either,
   although I've seen news from other countries (including BBC and
   other Western European news sources) that freely refer to
   American Imperialism as a 'thing'.
   and they're probably right.
   We just don't see it 'cause, well, we can't smile emoticon

   The BBC has a documentary I want to see ONE of these days called
   "The Age of Empire" and it's all about American Imperialism
   through the years, including the recent resurrection of it on
   the world stage. Just haven't gotten around to it.
