Oh that's not true.
   Science is INFORMING politics, just like it should and politics
   is taking action.
   Science isn't in charge here. The politics informed by the
   scientists are in charge.

   If scientists were in charge of society, we'd have bloody wars
   over factions of competing hypothesis just as we've had with
   other political groups under the banners of religions before.

   Power is a dangerous thing whoever holds the sceptre.
