I've come to the tentative conclusion that everyone on the planet, myself included, is overgrown children. This is not a bad thing. I see what we do as extended roleplaying, except we take it very seriously and forget that it is all but a game. Like children who get caught up in the rules of the game too seriously, they get frustrated and annoyed when others aren't using the same rulebook or even playing the same games. I don't think there's been an adult in the history of humanity. Adulthood is fictional. This may be a result of the early influence of early 80s pop psychology on me; a copy of "Scripts people live" and a copy of "I'm ok / You're ok" sitting on the back of the toilet that I'd read while sitting on the toilet certainly had an impact tongue emoticon
