Well, there is in a sense. The capacity to imagine scenarios is
   one of our greatest powers (both used for good and bad) but one
   of the good parts is that you can imagine ANY scenario or
   variations or combinations of your choosing and consider it
   Probably True if you like.

   I'd use that, unless you happen to find their facebook accts and
   ask them, which would be the next step.   If you REALLY wanted
   to find out, it's not that hard to do; people generally die
   somewhere within 75 miles of where they grew up (I think it's
   like 70 or 80%), so there's a good chance that, even if decades
   had gone by from an old news story, you can find what someone's
   up to recently smile emoticon
