Well, that's the thing; it doesn't surprise anybody overseas.
   Cowboys & Indians. Spaghetti Westerns. Yeehaw, Americans riding
   horses, smoking Marlboro cigarettes, wearing cowboy hats,
   drinking Budweiser beer and wearing a flannel shirt is as
   American as the American impression of Egyptians riding camels,
   French people wearing berets and painting, or Russians chugging
   vodka in one hand and yogurt in the other. Cultural stereotypes.
   Still, it's embarrassing to see it so strongly reinforced.
