Singular systems are problematic. They're systems. They can be
   drawn on paper. Life doesn't happen on paper. It happens out
   here, not on a 2 dimensional plane with lines and arrows and
   boxes. I can deal with overlapping, self-contradicting systems.
   They're more realistic. More like emergent systems combined with
   diplomacy. *
