It's sometimes difficult to get across to people who believe that "them" refers to "the masses" and other strange notions of "the conformity of all others except for me and the people I like, who are unique". Indeed, we're all kinda trapped in this web of seeming conformity. it's a social lubricant. Nobody runs on autopilot I don't think. Just coping.. Betterment is something available to all people.
