Same. I feel empathy towards cows going to the slaughterhouse. I
   wouldn't want to BE them but a long as they don't know what's
   coming (the mallet to the head), I'm ok with it. Would I be ok
   with that happening to people? No. I also don't have an issue
   with people becoming vegan or vegetarian over the mallet to the
   head. That's their choice. They can even try to convince me to
   change. But, I don't have a problem with it. Hypocritical? Not
   really. It's just not my major issue. I empathize. I also feel
   compassion. But I still eat beef. ==
