man you said it. Granted, a LOT of my childhood predictions/future science hopes came true. Pocket computers (smartphones), Internet, communicating with anybody in the world just typing to them.... cassettes that were little chips the size of your pinkynail - I had notes about these things in the early 1980s when I was a kid - and they all happened. But they're STILL so far behind from where they should be. Everytime there's a significant technological advancement that *I* have access to, I'm like, "FINALLY ALREADY" rather than "oh cool science/tech". == Of course Science is real. But a nuclear bomb isn't going to be dropped on my city - that's science fiction == oh of course. I'm just sayin', it's good to keep in mind where the line between science-possible-but-fiction and science-fact. There's plenty of examples where strong science fiction beats things touted as fact - such as most of what's on the media, advertising, etc. But still, it's good to know where the line is. == ikr. Maybe if they weren't so afraid of nuclear reactors we'd have them.I still think nuclear is the way to go but I'd be polluting the moon. Then again, one bad rocket sending nuclear waste up to the moon going 'boom' could be a bit of an issue,so it's probably a good thing I'm not in charge. ==
