I like that. Back in the old old days, the reason for the
   prayer, "Now I lay me down to sleep..." and prayers before bed
   in general, is that a sleep is like a "little death" - of
   course, we know better now, but I guess sying in your sleep was
   more common, or perhaps it was to alleiviate the fears of
   children. either way - if you had a little death, then when you
   wake up, you DO get a new, separate life each and every day. "
