Well, I thought I'd have issues figuring out just how in the world to actually create content on Gopher, but nope. It's pretty easy. Especially the "gophermap" concept, which is simply a tab separated text document of various values which can be used to form the core structure of your particular slice of gopherspace. It's super neat, to say the least, on how ordered it all is and yet how much freedom you have in setting things up. It strike that right balance, to me, in allowing creativity to flow while also imposing a standard bit of order to all of gopherspace. It's a harmony that sets well with me. I've also, as is obvious on the opening page of this gopherspace, set up terminal links to my BBS (Final Zone) as well as set up a gopher link to the BBS for viewing posts on the BBS in via gopher, as the Synchronet BBS software has a gopher server built in. It's a bit of an odd one though that I don't yet understand, but may figure out in the near future. That's all I have to say abou that right now. I hope to publish to this phlog regularly in the future. For now, however, I really need to (as much blasphemy as this is to say) get back to working on my main website, www.xadara.com. More to come, as always. ~Chris 12:56 PM 8/11/2020
