Well well, here we are. I'm publishing content to a gopher server. What has 35 years of being interested in technology done to me? I've regressed, in a sense, but in the best of ways. It's interesting to take a step back and look at things from a more basic perspective. I much enjoy how the gopher protocol does things, and somewhat wish the web had never come about in the way it did and that gopher took over and was the dominant use of the internet. It's much more practical, I feel, and eliminates all the stupid fluff that is the internet today. Then again the web and conventional HTML were originally just extensions of this mentality, and that, as it gained dominance, began to be pushed into more of a multimedia, real time interactive experience to a point where it has become the bloated hell it is today. I could spend an eternity talking about this. I won't though - not now. For now I need to figure out what I actualy want to do with this service. We'll see what happens. Thanks for stopping by. -Chris 9:52 AM 8/10/2020
