For my birthday, my family took me to the Clark Planetarium. They 
presented me with tickets to two star shows, a family membership to the 
planetarium, and then my wife took me over to the telescopes and said, 
"Pick one."

And so the challenge presented itself. What telescope to choose? I'll talk 
a little bit about what and why we finally chose what we did, and my 
experiences with it so far.
