Welcome to the first entry in my phlog. Not much to say right now, as I'm still getting everything setup.

Some quick musings on why I decided to join the gopherspace:
	- Modern social media suffers from a proliferation of short-form content that entertains without causing deep thought.
	- I enjoy the complexity that can arise from very simple arrangements.
	- Underground/non-mainstream communities foster much tighter connections through the adversities they've gone through together.
	- The necessity to constantly be 'up to date' with the greater online community is tiring and unnecessary. 
	- I enjoy the directness of an all text experience.
