on communications

i think it's important to have a physical list of contacts & addresses in case you need or want to write a letter.

for most communications i like email. i get very anxious when i use instant messaging, because i like to think over my replies, and i always reply very late.

i like xmpp when i do want a messager though. discord is scary, and it's a for-profit centralized service. i'm too hipster for that.
