To use the 80th column is a 'hmmm' right now.  Cursor in pico goes to col 81
if you do so.

EDIT: set $COLUMNS $LINES in parent xterm by drag and drop window resize.

   80 27 is fine, first look.

So, whatever mechanism pico uses, it essentially 'does the right thing'
or pretty close to it.  Can't hexdump to verify. ;)

So 80 it is - seems just ducky.
