Jonathan Coulton, or JoCo, is known for his style of pop/rock psuedo-
novelty songs (Like a modern They Might Be Giants), especially his
"Thing-a-Week" series. His efforts can be heard in video games like the
Portal series, and he even has an annual geek-themed cruise called "JoCo
Cruise", billed as a comedy and music festival on the ocean. "Artificial
Heart" was one of the first albums I ever fell in love with, filled with
songs about all kinds of weird topics, both strange and heartwarming. His
songs are catchy, funny, and just a plain good time.
