Bands like Krobak are known for their fusion of post-rock with orchestral
instrumentation, but Yndi Halda's "Enjoy Eternal Bliss" is a perfect
distillation of that style. The band, whose name translates to the album
title, creates four sweeping, progressive pieces of post-rock with soaring
guitars, crisp drums, and expressive strings. The use of dynamic range and
orchestral-style composition makes this a very unique album and sound, one
that is often overlooked for the more mainstream and modern compositional
style of bands like Explosions in the Sky. However, EITS would never make a
song with such goosebump-inducing walls of guitar sound like the dynamic
swells on "Dash and Blast". Yndi Halda are truly a one-of-a-kind outfit,
and "Enjoy Eternal Bliss" is their swan song.
