Electronic wizard/madman Tim Hecker has always been known for his really
out-there ambient projects. "Harmony in Ultraviolet" is no exception, made
up of loops and evolving industrial soundscapes with passages of
interstitial white noise. Tracks like "Rainbow Blood" are mesmerizing,
while cuts like "Stags, Aircraft, Kings and Secrataries" are bustling with
noisy industrial samples and loops. This was a groundbreaking industrial
noise album at the time of its release in 2006, and it still holds up today.
