=========================================================================== It Doesn't Matter =========================================================================== Title : It Doesn't Matter Artist : Saxon Shore Genre : Post-Rock Released: 2009 "Close to the Edge" by Yes may be my favorite album of all time, but "It Doesn't Matter" by Saxon Shore comes in at an extremely close second. This album is full of emotional post-rock compositions on guitar, piano, and even some auxilliary percussion like xylophone. Tracks like "Nothing Changes" and "Tokyo 412am" can be loud and abraisive, while tracks like "Small Steps" are quiet and introspective. There are elements of shoegaze on tracks like "This Place", and fun, tireless celebratory jams like "Sustained Combustion" and "Bar Clearing Good Times". Not only is it catchy, powerful, and impressive, but it's the only album to make me truly emotional to the point of tears. In my opinion, this is the best post-rock LP of all time. Favorite Tracks: Tweleven, This Place, Tokyo 412am
