People go online due to the fact that the internet offers unlimited 
information and freedom. There aare so many things to do, to see, to 
explore. You can work online. You can order what you want. You can chat. 
You can share ideas. And the best of all, you can be an amiable pedophile, 
or, a fascinating racist.

Consequently, the internet plays an immense part in our lives. Other than 
smokes, it became one of our century's most effective addictions - an 
addiction originated from lack of information and freedom, and not from a 
lack of attention like many of the other addictions.

Hence, it's the virtual land of freedom. You can find your ideal self. You 
can easily be whoever you want to be. You can forget who you really are 
and take another identity. Furthermore, you can forget about the barriers 
caused by religious and societal systems. You are now free. Really, aren't 
you sitting in front of a screen?

Sorry to stop your ideals and standards. But, have you failed to notice 
this biphasic situation that w are facing?

Many rely on the internet for their activities, a fact that is causing a 
conflict between the virtual self and the social self. I'm not saying the 
internet is bad. No. In fact, the internet is just misused by many.
