--------------------------------- Received OrangePi Zero and Zero2 --------------------------------- 13th-June-2022, Shanghai, Rainy --------------------------------- It's another rainy and wet day in Shanghai, and It is Monday! Today working from home, turn on the Dehumidification mode of the AC is crutial to survive. A lot of work, a tough Monday. While, a refresher though--I got my Orange Pi Zero and Zero2 that I bought from Taobao.com, due to the massive pacakes rise after Shanghai re-open, It took 7 days from Shenzhen to Shanghai, usually in around 2-3 days will do. The OrangePi are design quite some SBC based on Allwinner SOC, I like it's very small and cute form factor and easy availaiblity compare to Raspberry Pi in this Chip Shortage time, of cause price wise it also beats RPI. The Zero was based on Allwinner H3 SOC, 512MB memory, one USB2.0 port, one 100M Ethernet port, Micro-USB power in / USB2.0 OTG, build-in WiFi, etc. I checked NetBSD website, this board gets good support, I plan to use it as a small file server connecting my 1T 2.5 inch HDD, which today runs on RPI3B+. It is so small only with 46mm*48mm, I ordered the write box as well, looks fine and nice finish. As for the Zero2, it on Allwinner H616 SOC, 1GB memory, one USB2.0 port, one 1000M Ethernet port, USB type C power in, one Micro-HDMI, WiFi 2.4G & 5G, and Bluetooth 5.0. This one is slightly bigger sized 53mm*60mm, I also ordered a transparent black box with OrganPi logo silk printed on top, look very handy. This SOC didn't get supported by NetBSD, as far as I digged is not on the supported port list yet. I will probably have to play with Debian on it, try to build up a small computer with desktop environment-- I like XFCE, so definitely will test it on, I plan also use this to play other DE/WM as well, maybe eventually try Ubuntu, just check out how it performs. Yeah, recently indeed got quite some gadget to play with, no bore for quite some time. :) enjoy your evening or morning! -Peter ----------------------------------------------------------- Write with Vim on SDF.org, from tmux ssh connection from my Lenovo ideapad 710S.
