Thinking about abandoning the smartphone

Recently i am more and more thinking about my phone. Yeah, 
on the one hand those things are pretty amazing, on the other
hand... well, my inner tinfoil hat has his doubts. Its also
a thing regarding focus:

Even after leaving reddit (and blocking it on networks i
use) i still cannot overcome this urge to reach out to the
smartphone the moment i feel somewhat bored. It... bothers
me, just a tad too much. So i am currently thinking about my
options.

My thoughts about an everyday-carry-bag of electronics are
so far:

- The DevTerm
- A old Casio Exilim compact camera
- Old Kindle reader with tons of PDFs on it
- A Dumbphone

Well, for navigation issues i have a TomTom lying around
that i rescued a while ago from the electronic waste heap of
the company i work for.

Now i am looking for a medium dumb phone that can make calls
and can provide a mobile hotspot for the DevTerm... or a
dumbphone and a mobile hotspot. Tomorrow i will have the
opportunity to again go scavenging in the never diminishing
heaps of old electronics... perhaps i will get lucky.
