I call them that since they are designed to be installed over existing themes (though some people say they like them over the standard Apple Aqua). I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who decided to sign up for the site so they can have access to the downloads.   One question that I am getting a lot is will Iridium work in 10.5. The answer has two parts:   The current installer will run for all of 10.4 and there are links on this site for an unsupported 10.3 port I made.   The forthcoming 10.5 will be supported once I finish porting Iridium to the ".skin" system being built by Colin Cornaby. Colin has a long history in Mac theme-ing and without him Iridium would never have had an Intel port.   Once ".skin" is done, Iridium will be available as a free install and it will also be available as a template for you all to tweak to your heart's content. Giving the code and images to the users feels like the right thing to do since Iridium was driven completely by kind words from all of you.   In the next few days, I will post some information on 10.5 security and theme-ing. I need to make sure first that nothing I post will violate anyone's NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).
