	Today, I mark my 39th year upon this planet. And, I do so amongst as much shift and change as I can muster. I am starting a new job today as a programmer.

	

	Yes, you read that right, I am not heading off to a school, being called Mr. Cohen, having to ask students to please pay attention because all of this will be on the MCAS, bringing home papers to grade, or any of the other demands of the teaching life. Many people make a mid-life shift into education, I for one am happy to be making a mid-life change out. Let all of my education experience simply make me a very informed parent so that I can make the best choices for my daughter while she is still young. And, when she is old enough to make her own choices, I hope she will see the value in still asking my opinion.

	

	And, if that is not enough, I currently have an offer in on a house. Time, finances, and location have finally conspired to help me stumble upon a really great place. Usually, a post like this would be accompanied by pictures, but as you might remember, my digital camera was stolen. So, pictures will just have to wait.
