You have it designed by people who understand visual design and usability. Period. Link Even though Amy Fowler was talking about JavaFX here, I think her comment stands for all design, period. Back when I was studying set and lighting design, I had teachers that spent a lot of time reminding us of our humanity. They implored us in many ways to shed the jadedness of the business. That was the only way to keep one's perspective fresh and to be able to continue to find ways to touch one's audience. Web application design is no different.
